Senator John Astle and Delegate Ron George were our Honorary STARTERS.  LCol (Retired) Ben Moore was a founder of the Annapolis Striders and the Annapolis Ten Mile Run.  In 1982 he began the first marathon training program in Maryland to prepare his wife, Betty, and 15 friends for the Marine Corps Marathon.  Before he turned the Program over to Ron Bowman in 1995, he trained over 1200 runners to successfully complete their first marathon.

Senator Astle was a long time friend of Ben and authored legislation to permit organized runs on Maryland roads.  Whenever you run a race in Maryland that uses public roads, you can thank Senator Astle.

The race was marked by great conditions and a large turnout and an new course record of 35:07 by Chris Moody, 21 years old from Bowie, MD

Proceeds from the race will benefit – Wounded Warriors Project, Hospice House of the Chesapeake, Rude Ranch Animal Sanctuary, and METAvivor Research and Support”

Ron,

Great event (the half) and excellent weather.

I'm getting page not found errors on the two results links though.
