Congratulations to all Finisher’s of the 2^nd Ben Moore Memorial Half Marathon and 10k on Saturday, 1 August.  Anne Arundel County Recreation & Parks Director, Frank Marzucco gave some inspiring recollections of his association with LCOL, USMC, Ret Ben Moore as Honorary Starter.  Ben was one of the founders of the Annapolis Striders Running Club and trained over 1200 runners for the Marine Corps Marathon from 1980 to 2005.  Proceeds of the event are being donated to:

Rude Ranch Animal Sanctuary

The course and conditions were challenging for the 158 finishers with temperatures at 85 degrees and 62% humidity.

Louis Navarro, Ellicott City was the 10k 1^st Overall Male for the second time in 38:51

Hilary Cairns, Washington DC was 10k 1^st Overall Female in 38:51
