A friend and I did Zooma together a few weeks ago. She was recovering from pneumonia and I'd been busy training for a century ride and hadn't been doing much running - we were a pair, but we took our time and actually had a fun time. I paid for it the next couple days, but was delighted that I was able to finish!
Last weekend I completed a century out in Tahoe. It was AMAZING, and probably the hardest ride I've ever done. On mile 80 we had an 8 mile climb! I was thinking about you a lot as I was going through my training. I didn't have as great an experience training with my coach for my ride as I did training with you last year. It takes a special person, who's dedicated and passionate about what they do, to pass that passion on to their students. Your shoes were certainly hard to fill!!
Now that my rides over I'm hoping to get out and join the group again soon. I've recruited a friend, (she's lost 90lbs running) and hope to bring her along. She needs a little mama and papa bear in her routine :)
Thanks again for all you do, and hope to see you soon,
Hugs, Leenie
