Greetings Winter Runners; Week #11
It was a GREAT morning for a run this past weekend – certainly not as nippy as the 3 degrees the week before. It was 43 degrees and 51% humidity. I was a little overdressed.

Clif Bars added to salmonella recall list
As a public service for fellow runners who use Clif Bar products, I
found out that a big box of Clif Bars carried at Sam's Club has been
added to the salmonella contamination recall list.
The Clif Bar web site says that one can take the box back to Sam's
Club and get a full refund.

Greetings Winter Runners; Week #10
It was a GREAT morning for a run this past weekend – a bit nippy at 3 degrees, but everyone dressed properly and earned the right to say “nanny-nanny-boo-boo” to all of you who wussed out and opted for the gym –or- worse, slept in J. Well done to those who ventured into new territories – and broke down one more self-imposed limit – “its too cooold”.
Greetings Winter Runners; Week #9
The forecast is calling for it to be 13 degrees at 7 am Saturday, with WCF (wind chill factor) at 3 degrees with a 6 mph breeze.
This is colder than we have run in for a while so take extra care to prepare.
Greetings Winter Runners; Week #9
It was a GREAT morning for a run this past weekend – 75 degrees, 40% humidity, calm!! Oops! Sorry, that was me in Orlando for the Disney Marathon J I understand conditions for you on last Saturday were more like -cold- 35 degrees and 60% humidity but only a breeze. The feedback I got was there was a good sized group from Truman Park N Ride. Many of you did the St. Stephens/Chesterfield loop.
Rene, Myles, Dennis, Atticus and Jane ran about 5 miles on the AHS trails on Sunday. Jane said the trails were in pretty good shape, in spite of all the rain on Saturday afternoon and evening.
Wednesday’s Track Session at AHS was in a steady but not TOO cold rain. Myles, Ted, Lana, Jim LeClare, Paula and her daughter, Christine, did their 1200’s and 100s with me calling out lap times. I plan to bring the Race Clock to help when it is hard to see your watch. We have always had enough ambient light to see while running; no concerns about pot holes, or objects in our path; but the clock will make it easier to monitor pace.

It was a GREAT morning for a run last Saturday. The conditions were -cold- 35 degrees and 60% humidity but only a breeze. The feedback I got was there was a good sized group from Truman Park N Ride; which I could guess from the amount of water used at the 2 Mile Stop.
